Provisional Merit List (PML) of NEET-UG-2023 candidates belonging to the UT of J&K/Ladakh: Inviting of objections thereof [NEET-UG-NN-45, Dt. 27-07-2023]

MERIT LIST
Consequent upon the declaration of NEET UG- 2023 result by the National Testing
Agency (NTA), a tentative Roll No-wise list on the basis of NEET data received by the
BOPEE from Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, was notified
vide Notification No. 035-BOPEE of 2023 dated 06-07-2023 for information of the
concerned candidates. Further, the candidates who have appeared in NEET UG-2023
under All India Quota & whose Roll Numbers were not figuring in Annexure-A to the said
notification but actually belonged to UT of J&K/Ladkh, and were willing to participate in
the counselling process for seats of UT of J&K were advised to submit their documents
with the Board for inclusion of their details in the data of the Board.
For the purpose of preparation of Provisional Merit List, the Board vide Notification
No. 041-BOPEE of 2023 dated 15.07.2023 notified the schedule for online registration by
the eligible candidates with an advice to them to register themselves and upload their
documents on the BOPEE website viz. www.jkbopee.gov.in for verification/updation of
their Category status, through the Online mode w.e.f. 19.07.2023 to 23.07.2023 (PML).
The Online Registration Forms and the documents uploaded by the candidates
have been scrutinized by the Board and the following has been noticed:
a) Some candidates who have made the registration but their application forms are
deficient for want of one or more document(s) including Domicile Certificate, D.O.B.,
12th Class Marks Card, Compulsory Service Bond for candidates belonging to UT of
Ladakh etc. The application forms of such candidates have been provisionally
approved and they shall be allowed to participate in the Online Counseling process
subject to the condition that they shall submit all the deficient documents alongwith
other relevant documents as required by the Colleges/Institutions at the time of
admission, if selected, otherwise, their selection shall be cancelled on their own risk
and responsibility.
b) All the eligible candidates figuring in the Annexure-A to this Notification are advised
to check their Gender (Male/Female) and corrections, if any, be communicated to the
Board through an application to be submitted by the concerned candidate(s)
physically at the BOPEE office Jammu or Srinagar upto 29-07-2023 positively without
any fail.
c) The Board has received the list of candidates who have applied under the Sports
Category from Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Srinagar/Jammu vide letter No. SC/941-
NEET-UG/B-Pharmacy/4079-80 dated 25.07.2023 and accordingly the Board has
prepared rank-wise list of such candidates which is annexed as Annexure-B to this
Notification. However, mere figuring of the name of the candidate(s) in the sports list
does not confer any right on the candidate(s) to claim the seat under the sports
category. The sports ranking is only for determining the eligibility under the sports
category and not for determination of merit of the candidates.
d) The candidates who have filled CDP Category but have uploaded old certificate are
provisionally included in the PML and have been allowed to participate in the online
counseling process subject to the condition that they shall submit fresh CDP
Certificate with Priority as per the prescribed format, physically at BOPEE Office
Jammu or Srinagar by or before 29th July, 2023 failing which they shall be considered
under Open Merit, if otherwise, found eligible under Open category.
e) The candidates whose Reserved Category Certificate(s) is deficient shall submit a
valid Category Certificate physically at the BOPEE office Jammu/ Srinagar upto
29.07.2023 (02.00 p.m.) failing which they shall be considered under Open merit by
the Board without any further notice, if otherwise, found eligible under Open merit.
f) The candidates, who have uploaded EWS Certificate as per the Central Format but
not as per SRO 518 of 2019, the Board has included their names provisionally in the
Provisional Merit List subject to the condition that they shall submit their valid EWS
Category Certificate physically upto 29th July, 2023(till 02:00 p.m.), positively
otherwise their candidature shall be automatically converted into Open category.
g) No document(s) shall be accepted through E-mail / WhatsApp.
h) The candidates, who have uploaded PwD Certificates on their own, the Board has
included their names provisionally in the Provisional Merit Lists and they shall be
allotted the seats on the basis of their PwD Certificate, subject to the condition that
the genuineness of their PwD certificate shall be ascertained (wherever required) by
the respective College Authority as per MCI/ NMC/DCI guidelines during or after the
time of admission, if provisionally selected. In case any candidate is found ineligible
under this category at any later stage, the admission of such candidate(s) shall be
cancelled ab-initio.
In light of the above, the Provisional UT Merit List (PML) of the candidates, who have
registered themselves with the Board through the online mode and have uploaded all the
requisite documents/Category certificates upto the prescribed date is hereby notified as
Annexure-A to this Notification. Further the list of candidates falling under sports category
is notified as Annexure-B to this Notification.
It is further notified that any candidate who is desirous of making a representation,
with regard to the position assigned to him/her in the PML annexed as in Annexure- A & B
to this Notification, may do so up to 29.07.2023 (till 02:00 p.m.) and the Board shall
dispose off the same under rules. No representation(s) / objection(s) shall be accepted
after the last date i.e. 29.07.2023. In case no representation is received by the Board in
this regard, the PML shall be deemed as final.
The candidates who have applied under EWS, Sports, CDP, JKPM and P&B Categories
have been considered under Open merit as per the prescribed standards of eligibility as
per MCI/NMC/DCI Guidelines.
The candidature of few candidates has been rejected by the Board on the grounds that
their NEET-UG 2023 Score is below the Cut-off score fixed by the National Testing Agency
(NTA).
The Board reserves the right to make any changes/corrections in the records as may be
deemed necessary on the basis of documentary evidence.
The schedule for conduct of online counselling for such courses shall be notified
separately and the candidates in their own interest are advised to remain in constant
touch with the official website of the Board for regular updates in this regard.
The candidate(s) shall be held personally responsible for submission/uploading of any
false/wrong information/document(s). In the event of any such wrong information coming
to the notice of the Board at any point of time, it shall render such candidate(s) ineligible
for consideration for admission to such course(s) and their candidature shall be cancelled
ab-initio at their own risk and responsibility without any further notice.
The candidates in their own interest are also advised to go through the e-
Information Brochure which shall be made available and uploaded on the website of the
Board before commencement of the online counselling.
The Annexures A & B to this Notification shall remain available on the official
website of the Board only.
The other Terms and Conditions as contained in the e-Information Brochure/
Notifications/Notices issued by the Board from time to time in this regard shall, remain the
same.
