JKBOSE 10th Result 2023: The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken a decision to provisionally promote Class 10 students to the next class to prevent academic loss. This decision was made after the conclusion of the Class X exams on Wednesday. More than 63,500 students appeared for the matriculation exam in the soft zones of Kashmir. For the first time, the board exam was held in March, after the government shifted the academic session to March in sync with the National Education Policy (NEP) in August last year.

The government order states that students who are declared unsuccessful will be permitted to continue their studies in Class 11th and 12th until the result of the Biannual/Annual Private exams is declared. However, in case of failing the Bi-annual exam, provisional admission shall be canceled.

This year, 630 exam centers were set up for Class X students across the Kashmir division, and nearly 63,543 students had enrolled for the exam in the soft zones of the valley. The March session has helped overcome many academic hiccups for the students, as earlier, students who had to seek admission elsewhere had to face migration issues. This time, students can seek admission anywhere, and there will be no problems whatsoever.

The government is planning to hold exams for the hard zones, which are snowbound and not reachable. Since access to the area is difficult during March, the government decided to hold their exams separately. These students will also be given provisional admission and promoted to the next class.
